About The Bell

This blog is about the "relief" of Keith "Evo" Evans, who worked as personal technican of Malcolm Young between 1977 and 1989. He also was the barkeeper of the tiny stage pub called The Bell Sports & Social Club.

During the Back In Black Tour in 1980, the tiny pub became the central meetingpoint prior to each concert. The access was limited to selected crew members and tour managers.

In 1989 Keith left the band and worked a couple of years for bands as Tina Turner and Wet Wet Wet. End of the 90s, he retiered and opened a pub in his hometown Brierley Hill (UK). The pub was named the Rock Tavern.

From this point, the track has been lost. The pub was closed in 2002. Rumours say, that Keith has been ripped off by his business partner. The complete memorabilia of Keith, which was exposed inside the Rock Taveran, had been sold to a bargainer from Hull (UK).

A part of this collection has been saved and its now going to be presented exclusivly on this place. I will also garnish this blog with gems I collected aside from the day I picked up Keith's closet.

Find pictures of Keith and The Bell at the website of Robert Ellis and on Bubi Heilemann's photo book.
